Energyinius – ENERGY Networks Integration for Urban Systems – a project funded by the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna and lead by LEAP (research centre founded and participated by the Politecnico of Milan), has researched models of development that enable Energy Communities and Energy Districts to carry out bidirectional exchanges with energy networks, thus offering energy and services to the regional/national system. The deliverable include several prototypes and tools that range from optimisation and simulation models for Smart Energy Systems to energy district diagnostics.
Optit, acting as industrial partner of Energynius, has provided an industrial perspective to the issues at hand, introducing PlaMES as privileged tool for long-term planning of multi-energy systems. Opportunities for potential synergies will possibly be explored in the coming months.
