Klemens Schumann of the Fraunhofer FIT presented his paper “Modeling residential supply tasks based on digital orthophotography using machine learning” at the CIRED workshop on “E-mobility and power distribution systems”.
In the paper, Klemens presents an approach to use digital orthophotographs and machine learning in order to identify buildings and their energy demand. This methodology is one of the parts that build up the energy planning tool of PlaMES.
The authors of the paper are Klemens Schumann (1, 2), Luis Böttcher (2), Philipp Hälsig (1), Daniel Zelenak (2), Andreas Ulbig (1, 2) of (1) Fraunhofer Center Digital Energy at Fraunhofer FIT, and (2 ) IAEW at RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
